NATIONAL IMMUNISATION PROGRAM
On time, every time

Four colorful brochures about vaccines for different age groups, featuring diverse people: an elderly man, a pregnant woman, a teenage boy, and a young girl, with website links and logos at the bottom.

COMMUNICATION SHAPES PUBLIC HEALTH

The National Immunisation Program (NIP) is an Australian Government initiative that provides free vaccines to eligible people across the country. It aims to protect individuals and the broader community from serious infectious diseases by ensuring vaccines are accessible at key life stages, starting from infancy through to adulthood. The program is guided by medical experts and updated regularly to reflect evolving public health needs.

Worked alongside the senior designer and creative team to refresh and roll out a wide range of assets for the National Immunisation Program. My role involved updating layouts and copy across various materials, including posters, brochures (including tri-folds), fridge magnets, and pins, ensuring all materials aligned with brand guidelines and met accessibility standards. From technical layout refinements to preparing files for production, every task supported clearer communication of Australia’s national vaccine schedule. The result was a cohesive, trustworthy suite of resources used in clinics, hospitals, and community health settings across the country.

The chart is divided into sections, with the first section focusing on adult vaccination and the second on additional vaccines for at-risk populations. To the right, there is a box with contact information for health departments in various Australian states and territories.

THE IMPACT

With childhood immunisation rates consistently above 94%, the program has contributed to a major drop in vaccine-preventable illnesses nationwide. As part of the design team, I worked across posters, brochures, fridge magnets and other materials to help communicate the schedule clearly and accessibly. These resources support healthcare providers and communities by making vaccination information easy to trust, understand, and act on.
